NBA Fan Says LeBron James Is A Top 3 Player Of All Time, But Never Reached Height Of Stephen Curry (2016) And Kawhi Leonard (2019)

As the best player in basketball, and the face of the NBA, LeBron James is often leading discussions regarding players and where they rank in sports history.

As great as LeBron is, however, some would argue that others have had greater individual seasons.

On Twitter, one Raptors fan shared his thinking, explaining that while LeBron is the better player between Steph Curry and Kawhi Leonard, their seasons in 2016 and 2019 (respectively) are at a level he has not yet seen James surpass. In other words, LeBron’s individual seasons haven’t impressed fans the same way as some others have, like Curry’s 2016 run.

It has been dubbed the “LeBron phenomenon.”

It should be pointed out that Steph did win the NBA’s only unanimous MVP award in 2016, so the case can actually be made that it was the greatest individual season by any player in basketball history.

And for Kawhi, the way he led the charge and brought the Raptors their first title was certainly an impressive feat.

In both cases, these players were able to dominate in a way that captures attention and captivates the audience.

LeBron has been doing his thing for so long now, it is almost as if people are taking what he does on the court for granted. The bar is set so high, excellence and dominance have become the norm.

No matter your opinion on LeBron, Steph, or Kawhi, they’ve done things on the court that will be talked about forever. That’s a truly special place to be.
