Tyler Johnson On New Teammate Blake Griffin: “It Was Nice To Have More Light-Skins On The Team.”

It seems like wherever he goes, Blake Griffin instantly makes their teammates a lot funnier than they were before his arrival. Now playing with his third team in the NBA, the Brooklyn Nets, Griffin has kept the tradition as every time you ask somebody something about him, they will tell you something hilarious.

The most recent case happened when somebody asked Tyler Johnson about his new teammate and his response was as curious as fun. Johnson said it was good that the team added more ‘light-skin’ players to the roster. The prior big deal for the Nets was James Harden, who is black, and Johnson wanted to see something different. Well, Griffin arrived and things have changed a little bit.

“It was nice to have more light-skins on the team.”

This sparked a lot of reactions on social media. It was clearly a joke by Johnson, but not everybody was convinced of that.

The Nets are still in the hunt for a playoffs spot but things seems to be going great for them. Unless something extraordinary happens, we will see them in the big party again, but this time as one of the strongest candidates to win the Larry O’Brien trophy.

Griffin joined a team that already had a Big 3 with Harden, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Things will get more interesting for them in the playoffs but right now they look very well with their combination of skins on the court.
