NBA Rumors: Los Angeles Lakers Have Made Talen Horton-Tucker Unavailable In Trade Talks

2 Min Read

The Los Angeles Lakers are ready to enter a very interesting day in the trade deadline. The Californians have lived a lot of things in recent months and now they need to make a series of moves to take their game to the next level.

Andre Drummond, Kyle Lowry, and more role players have been linked with them in recent days, as they keep pushing to make the postseason even without LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the court. This has prompted the team to look for alternatives and even though they’ve found a couple of good options, they’re not willing to match any asking price they get from rivals.

They can deal veterans but not young players, as ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported. In fact, Talen Horton-Tucker is a name that isn’t available in trade talks and the Lakers have made it very clear.

“The Lakers have been working the phone since the LeBron injury looking for wing players,” said ESPN’s Brian Windhorst. “The problem is that they don’t really have a whole heck of a lot to offer. They have discussed Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in trade scenarios, but from what I am told they are not willing to include a draft pick, or their best young player, which is Talen Horton-Tucker, and without those two things to grease, I don’t know if they’re going to get the kind of wing that could make a difference.”

This is not a surprise knowing how high the Lakers are on THT and his future in the league. They are reportedly willing to trade Montrezl Harrell if they get the right offer and more players could have the same fate if the front office decides that’s the best for the future of the squad.

Without AD and LeBron, they will be forced to make drastic moves and as things stand right now, not everybody’s safe in the Lakers locker room.
