The situation between John Wall and the Houston Rockets continues and nobody knows how this conflict will finish. The veteran point guard was first benched by the team, as they tried to find a trade partner to ship him away and continue their rebuilding process.

A couple of weeks ago, Wall reportedly told the team he intended to play with them again, but the organization hasn’t changed its mind about John’s future. Ever since that, the player has been vocal about his desire to return to the court, even admitting he doesn’t want to be the No. 1 option on the team.

Now the former Washington Wizard has been linked with several trade rumors. He’s one of 20 players who could get shipped soon, and teams like the New York Knicks or Los Angeles Lakers could be interested in his services.

Meanwhile, Wall stays in Houston, trying to have a fresh start in the league. Fortunately, his teammates have his back, and rookie Jalen Green recently asked the Rockets to free Wall.

The 2021 NBA draft second overall pick shared a story showing Wall, with the caption asking for his freedom.

“Free heem,” Green wrote on an Instagram story.

Jalen and Wall haven’t shared touches on the court this season, but they’ve battled it out at practice, with the 31-year-old schooling the rookie guard.

Unfortunately, the team is going through a complex situation at this moment, focused on developing their young players, while Wall is trying to compete for a championship.

That’s why they’re looking for a solution to send the man to a different team, but it’s unclear when that will happen. After returning from a long absence in 2020, Wall demonstrated he’s still talented and has plenty left in the tank.

Houston isn’t the right place for him and his fans hope to see him playing again in a team that fits his style of play and aspires to compete for important things.
