Shaquille O’Neal On When Lakers Were Unstoppable In His Prime: “Our Offense Is Like The Pythagorean Theorem: There Is No Answer!”

Shaquille O’Neal was always destined for success. Even when he just arrived in the league, he broke through the ranks pretty soon with the Orlando Magic and established himself as a superstar. But the true prime years of his career were when he wore the purple and gold jersey.

O’Neal stayed with the Lakers for 8 seasons and helped the Lakers win three consecutive NBA Championships. While Kobe was still there, it was more of a Shaq’s team during the championship days.

Apart from Shaq, the biggest reason for the team’s success was none other than mastermind head coach Phil Jackson. Jackson used his famous triangle offense to get the most out of his players and it worked like a charm.

Shaq has always been known for some pretty amazing quotes and one such quote about the team’s offense has struck with fans. Now, there is confusion about what the exact quote is since many believe it is:

“Our offense is like the Pythagorean theorem: There is no answer!”

On the other hand, renowned website Bleacher Report has not used this quote. Instead, it went with:

“There is no answer to the Pythagorean theorem. Well, there is an answer, but by the time you figure it out, I got 40 points, 10 rebounds and then we’re planning for the parade.”

So the only way to be sure which quote is correct will be if Shaq reads this article and confirms it himself. After all, he is a hilarious guy and might just do it (keeping our hopes up).

Speaking more about what O’Neal achieved in his career, he is unarguably one of the top 4 centers in the history of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Even one of the most dominant of today’s generation, Giannis Antetokounmpo has Shaquille O’Neal on his list of top players.

Well, most people are aware of what Shaq has achieved and done on the field. But even off the field, he’s a great person as well. We are sure not many would have heard about the story when he gave $4000 to a restaurant server just because he was asked for it.

All things considered, O’Neal is one of the best players the league has ever seen. We hope he never changes and keeps giving us hilarious moments from time to time!
