The Golden State Warriors are currently 2-0, after beating both the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers. There is no question that they have looked better than last season, particularly on the offensive end.
There are definitely people who believe that the Golden State Warriors could win the 2021-22 NBA championship, and if Klay Thompson is healthy, they could really do some damage in the Western Conference.
While Channing Frye isn’t pegging the Golden State Warriors as future champions, he thinks that they’re going to finish above the Los Angeles Lakers, a team that many pegged as one of the favorites to win it all. That is certainly a fairly bold take, as many predicted that the Warriors would be struggling until Klay Thompson got back.

My reasoning behind that is, the Warriors are their team, and they’re waiting for Wiseman, they’re waiting for Klay Thompson. The Lakers have to reinvent themselves now, they have to figure out who they are and how they are going to win. Even though they only lost by 10 tonight, they were really down by 27, 30 points.
The Golden State Warriors look like they’re a well-oiled machine, while the Los Angeles Lakers are currently in a 0-2 hole, and they look like they’re having chemistry issues. Of course, it’s very early in the season to make a verdict on how well those teams will do for the rest of the year. However, what’s clear, is that currently, the Golden State Warriors are playing better than the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Lakers should still be a contender, especially considering the fact that they have three All-Stars on the team. LeBron James and Anthony Davis have won together before, and once they incorporate Russell Westbrook into their system, they will be a very dangerous team.
