Jimmy Butler continues to stir the pot in Miami. While at a coffee shop, Jimmy tried paying for his order with his credit card. For some reason, his card kept declining when he tried to pay. Rather than find another card, Butler took his chance to troll the Miami Heat, as his friend joked that he was currently unemployed, which is why his card kept declining.

Butler is on the outside looking in with the Miami Heat right now. His issues with management over his contract have led to his demanding a trade. The Heat recently suspended him for a third time for disciplinary reasons. They issued a statement explaining why they suspended him and how many games he would lose salary for.

Of course, this didn’t stop Jimmy from trolling the team on social media, posting videos from a popular sitcom about a character who consistently gets mocked for their job status. Clearly, Butler has no concerns about his future in Wade County, as he has decided in his mind that he will only play basketball again for a team not named the Miami Heat.

The Heat have been trying to find the ideal trade partner for Jimmy Butler for quite some time. Prior to this, there were many reports that the Heat were waiting for the right trade offer to make a deal for Jimmy. However, they have since shifted their stance after struggling to find a suitable trade partner.

Miami has now lowered the asking price for Jimmy Butler, hoping to attract more teams to the negotiation table. One NBA insider has predicted after their latest actions that Butler will be traded away from the Heat before next week’s trade deadline.

Where Will Jimmy Butler End Up?

The Miami Heat have to consider a lot of factors before agreeing to any deal to send Butler away. But given that they have lowered their asking price, certain teams feel more comfortable engaging in negotiations with them now. And with the trade deadline a week away, these negotiations will be accelerated.

The Heat are currently engaged in trade talks with the Phoenix Suns and the Golden State Warriors. The Philadelphia 76ers, who Jimmy played for during the 2018-19 season, are also an option, as Butler is still a good friend of Joel Embiid. But are there any other teams that could be options?

We identified some dark horse teams that could make a trade for Jimmy Butler. Another team that could get involved in the Jimmy Butler sweepstake is the Minnesota Timberwolves. Given the shaky history Butler has with the Timberwolves, it wouldn’t be to land Butler but to help shed or land assets in return. This bodes well for the Heat, who are reportedly interested in Julius Randle.

Wherever Butler lands, hopefully, it will mark the end of this long-winded saga. Both Jimmy and the Miami Heat have come out of this looking worse as a player and franchise respectively.
