There wasn’t a single second when people doubted that the Dallas Mavericks were going to offer Luka Doncic a max contract extension.
The Slovenian superstar has earned every single dime of his new deal, becoming one of the faces of the league and carrying Dirk Nowitzki’s torch in the franchise.
Doncic just signed a $207 million extension to stay with the Dallas Mavericks for the long run, one of the largest contracts in the history of the NBA. He’s generationally wealthy already and he’s yet to turn 23 years old.
Nonetheless, it seems like the former Real Madrid star still has some debts he must honor, as JJ Redick called him out for not paying him the $1700 he owes him from a cards game:
“Still owes me $1700 from cards. Please
@CashApp
me
@luka7doncic,” Redick tweeted in reaction to Doncic’s five-year, $207 million deal.

While JJ Redick wasn’t able to help Doncic and the Mavericks on the court this season due to injury, it seems like the veteran has already taught him some of the ways of making business around the league.
NBA players are known for being enthusiast gamblers and making the most of every chance they have to take some money away from some of their teammates.
I mean, that’s the kind of thing you can afford when you make millions of dollars per year, so there should be no shame in that as long as you honor your debts.
So, c’mon Luka, there’s no excuse. Just CashApp Redick the money you owe him, you’ve got plenty to spare. Or at least dare him to run it back. Double or nothing.
