With no clear-cut plan, and very few options, the Indiana Pacers are entering a period of uncertainty this offseason.
During the 2020-21 campaign, they finished with a mediocre 34-38 record before eventually losing the play-in game against the Washington Wizards.
For some, the franchise is facing a pivotal fork in the road: they can look to re-tool and shake things up completely or hold all their cards and wait for other opportunities.
It remains to be seen what they will do, but their star big man, Myles Turner, has generated increasing levels of attention from GMs around the league — including, apparently, Leon Rose and the New York Knicks.
According to J. Michael of IndyStar, the Knickerbockers are working hard to get their hands on Turner — with minimal success so far.

After finally making a return to the playoffs, the Knicks have absolutely no intention of slowing down now. With a solid core and plenty of assets to work with, we can expect an active summer for the franchise as they try to maintain their status as a playoff team. in the East.
As potential targets go, it doesn’t get much better than Turner, who adds rim protection, rebounding, and interior scoring into a Tom Thibodeau-style system that prioritizes such aspects of the game.
While the Knicks have yet to offer up an acceptable offer, things are always subject to change over the next few hours and days.
Last season, Turner averaged 12.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.4 blocks in 31 minutes per game. He’s currently locked into his current contract until 2023.
