Kevin Love is a veteran on the Cleveland Cavaliers who doesn’t necessarily fit their timeline, as they are currently rebuilding. It is possible that Kevin Love will get bought out by the Cavaliers, which would allow him to be a free agent and go to a destination of his choosing.

A lot of playoff teams could use a big man with Kevin Love’s skill set. Love is a solid rebounder and shooter, and he could be a great piece as a starter or coming off the bench. One of the teams that he has been linked with is the Golden State Warriors. Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle has recently reported that the Golden State Warriors could do a “full-court press” to acquire him in the situation that he is bought out.

The Warriors have been flirting with the idea of adding Kevin Love to their roster for years, and that courting might turn into a full-court press this month.

There is growing sentiment around the league that Love will negotiate a buyout with Cleveland and sign a veteran-minimum contract with a contender, with one of the options being the Warriors.

There is no question that Kevin Love would bring in another veteran presence into the Warriors locker room, and he would fit in perfectly with their system. Kevin Love being on a contender once again would allow him to contribute to a winning team towards the latter stages of his career and perhaps he could do so with the Golden State Warriors.
