Draymond Green Responds To Criticism For Not Taking Shots: ‘If I Can Get Steph Curry The Ball For A F*****g Shot, Why Would I Shot?”

After spending so much time in the NBA, dealing with haters and critics, Draymond Green is immune to bad comments. The Golden State Warriors star isn’t bothered by whatever people say about him, as he’s always thinking of getting better and helping his team reach the next level.

Green has no problem sacrificing his offensive numbers for the team’s sake and recently went on a rant to explain why he’s always favoring Stephen Curry’s shots over his own. Joining HBO’s “The Shop: Uninterrupted,” Draymond talked about the criticism he receives for not shooting the ball more often.

He explained that having a player like Stephen Curry by his side makes things a lot easier for him. It’s not like you have to overthink to give the ball to the greatest shooter of all time.

If passing to @StephenCurry30 is an option, @Money23Green has news for you 🏀😂

“That’s why there’s a lot of unsuccessful people and a lot of f—in’ dumb—es,” Green said, via NBC Sports. “And you can tell by the criticism that comes to you, or the criticism that comes to you. I’ve found that solace in that over the last couple years. And just like listening to people and what they say, and the criticism, it actually shows you how f—ing stupid people are through their criticism.

“For instance, people say, ‘Draymond you should shoot!’ But if I can get Steph Curry the ball for a f—ing shot, why would I shoot?! You’re actually a f—ing idiot for thinking I should shoot, because I can get him the shot and if he’s half open, it’s better than anyone else in the world — if he’s half open!”

Draymond just kept it real. The player is ready to improve his offensive game this offseason, but even if he gets better, that won’t make a big difference in his mindset. We all saw what Stephen Curry could do last season; he was a man on a mission, taking the Warriors to the play-in tournament before losing the two games to advance to the playoffs.

It’s hard to disagree with Green on this one. Curry is on his own level, and if he gets the chance to shoot the ball, you should give it to him and let him do his thing.
