Amid a Cinderella run for the Phoenix Suns, Chris Paul went down after testing positive for COVID-19. After missing the first two games of the series, he came back in Game 3.
After the game was over, and the Suns took the loss, Paul spoke a bit about his experience, finally breaking the silence about all the noise surrounding his absence over the past few days.
“Sh-t happens. And it did. I’m here now. It’s cool,” Paul said, via Marc J. Spears of ESPN. “I’m just happy to be out here playing. There is a lot of people in the world that have dealt with it.”

COVID-19 is no joke, and many people have lost the battle against the virus.
Fortunately, CP3 did get vaccinated, which is probably why his recovery was relatively quick and uneventful.
Unfortunately, being gone for such an extended period of time caused him to play a bit rusty in Game 3 when he shot just 26%.
Clearly, Paul is not yet in form and it probably cost the Suns the game.
But, hopefully, he and Booker (who shot 23.8%) will be better moving forward, and we can see what this Suns team can do at full strength again.
