The Los Angeles Clippers have received the worst possible news regarding Kawhi Leonard. The forward set the alarms when reports surfaced saying he would miss Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals series.

As the hours went by, things look worse for the player and the team, and now it’s confirmed that Kawhi will be out indefinitely. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Los Angeles Clippers fear their superstar has suffered an ACL injury, meaning he will miss the rest of the season.

At the end of Game 4, the player suffered a knee injury, starting this cycle of bad news for his team…

“Kawhi Leonard is expected to miss Game 5 against the Jazz tonight with a knee injury suffered in game 4, sources tell @ramonashelburne & me. His status for rest of series is in doubt as well. Leonard told teammates last night to prepare for him to be out. He landed awkwardly on a drive in the fourth quarter and grimaced in pain Monday night. He briefly stayed in game but didn’t finish as the Clippers secured the win to even series 2-2,” Windhorst reported on a couple of Tweets.

The worst fears of the Clippers have become a reality now. They will face Game 5 without their best player, against the Jazz as visitors. Just when Leonard was playing at a high level, leading his team to have big games, injuries attack him, preventing the man from making a run at the title.
