After landing in Los Angeles as probably the best signing of the buyout market, Andre Drummond’s tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers was very quiet. He started strong but lost his spot on the court slowly.
Rumors suggested the team was interested in bringing him back for the next season. However, knowing how much money Drummond would demand, the purple and gold would be better off if they don’t try to re-sign him.
One fan had an interesting idea, though, “offering” Drummond the minimum deal to return to the Lakers. The big man wasn’t having any of that and blasted this person on Instagram, calling him ‘drunk’ for making that statement.
If you’re a Lakers fan hoping to run it back with Drummond on the court, that’s not going to happen. The Lakers have several things to figure out this offseason, but it seems like they don’t have to worry about Andre.
After an early exit of the 2021 NBA playoffs, Los Angeles needs to assemble the right team to contend next campaign. With a healthy LeBron James and Anthony Davis, this squad will be a threat for the rest of the league again, trying to reclaim their throne.
