Kristaps Porzingis: “Going Into This Offseason With A Chip On My Shoulder And I’m Going To Use All This Noise To Fuel Me Even More. Unicorn 2.0 Incoming…”

Dallas Mavericks star Kristaps Porzingis didn’t have the best 2020/21 NBA season. He struggled to find his touch on the Texan team and develop chemistry with the star of the team, Luka Doncic.

Much was made of this situation, with reports suggesting they had no communication, which was visible on the court. KP earned a lot of criticism due to his performances this season, and now he faces an offseason full of questions for him and his team.

However, the Latvian player is keen to regain his best level to help the Mavs play for important things next season. He took to Instagram to send a message to fans and doubters, claiming he will return better than ever next campaign.

“Going into this off season with a chip on my shoulder and I’m going to use all this noise to fuel me even more. Only focused on what I can control and thats grinding to be better each and every day. I’ll keep smiling and enjoying the process through everything Thankful for the love and support 2.0 incoming…”

This is great news for the Mavericks. The season didn’t finish the best way for them, with Porzingis getting frustrated with how the ball moved on the offensive end. He didn’t have the best series against the Los Angeles Clippers, and fans gave him the ‘Pandemic P’ nickname, too.

The Mavs have to figure some things out ahead of the 2021/22 season. Moving Porzingis might be an option for them this offseason, but that won’t be easy. The player has a hefty contract, and his injury history makes it hard for teams to fully trust him.

Still, if his body doesn’t betray him and he keeps working on his game, the Texans will have the second star they need to have a deep run in the NBA playoffs.
