Reggie Miller Says ‘Healthy’ LeBron James Is The Best Player In The NBA

Ever since he made it to the NBA in 2003, LeBron James has been a polarizing figure. You either love him or you hate him, there’s no in-between. Even so, his haters have had no choice but to tip their hats off to him as he continues to pile up milestones.

James is 36 years old and has been around for 18 seasons. His durability, work ethic, and God-given talents are nearly unprecedented.

That’s why Hall of Famer Reggie Miller believes that, at his age, he’s still the best player in the world when he’s healthy:

“I will always go with a healthy LeBron James as the best player. Just for the simple fact that he does everything. (…) Healthy, I mean – before he went down with an injury he was in the discussion for the MVP. He was one of the top-3 candidates before the ankle injury. I mean, he’s gonna give you 25, 8, and 8 (…) he lifts up his teammates,” Miller said on the Dan Patrick Show.

While that could be a bit of a hot take with rising stars like Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, or bonafide superstars like Anthony Davis, Kawhi Leonard, or Kevin Durant; Miller has a valid point.

LeBron is still the best all-around player in the league. He even started playing defense at a high level again when Anthony Davis made it to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The sole fact that a 36-year-old player is a top-3 MVP candidate should speak volumes of LeBron James’ greatness, impact, and how influential he still is in this league.

LeBron James isn’t getting any younger and we all know Father Time is undefeated. Hopefully, he’ll make the most of this long offseason to get back to full strength and come back stronger than ever.
