Shannon Sharpe still can’t believe the Miami Heat missed out on the chance of landing James Harden. Why? Because they didn’t want to include Tyler Herro in any deal for the Beard.
In the end, the Brooklyn Nets pulled the trigger, landing Harden and creating a Big 3 at the Barclays Center. Now the Heat are swept after losing (in a bad way) against the Milwaukee Bucks, while Harden and his Nets are seen as favorites to win the NBA championship.
This is why Sharpe took to Twitter to mock the Heat for picking Herro over Harden, once again using a meme to explain how he would have dealt the guard to Houston in exchange for the 2018 NBA MVP.
“It was reported, Heat were unwilling to include Herro in any trade scenario for Harden. Imagine that ? To get Harden, I would’ve included, Tyler Herro, Guitar Hero, A SuperHero and Hogan Hero reruns.”

NBA fans reacted to this, agreeing with Sharpe and telling him that Herro just needs to work on his game and he will have a lot of time to do so this offseason.

Now we arguing that James Harden by himself is worth leveraging the future of your franchise 🤣 Y’all can’t be serious. Houston is in the situation they’re in now because of that gamble.

You really think Harden could play under Pat Riley ? Stop blaming Tyler Herro for this shit show Miami put on

Don’t really follow the Heat, but after last year’s finals there was a lot of comparing Kyle Kuzma to Tyler Herro. Does Herro do anything besides shooting? While Kuz’s shooting has been trash at least he has clearly stepped it up in other aspects of his game.

Miami was stupid for not making that trade but so was Boston who wouldn’t give up Brown. These teams overvalue draft picks. You can draft top 5 for a decade and not find a Harden. Look at Sacramento.

Trading 5 players and 6 picks for 1 player.
Miami was the only team Houston asked that much of for Harden. Why? Who the hell knows.

Lmao it wasn’t just completely that but you right with all due respect 😂

Harden/Butler can’t get the Heat anywhere anyway. So no point in pulling off the trade.

Last year, Herro went off in the Orlando bubble, helping the Heat reach the NBA Finals in Orlando. This season, not only him but the entire team struggled to find their touch. This was the last nail on the coffin for them.
The Heat won’t stop doing good things. They will be back next year trying to prove their doubters wrong. After the 2020 Finals, they were expected to have a good performance again, but that didn’t happen.
