Kevin Love Wants To See LeBron James vs. Kyrie Irving In The Finals: “That Would Be One For The Ages There.”

Kevin Love was the third wheel on the Cleveland Cavaliers team that went to the three consecutive NBA Finals from 2015 through 2017, winning one title and losing two. The big man created a Big 3 with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, two players who left the team in 2017 and 2018, respectively, looking for new challenges.

Now they have big chances to make it to the Finals with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets, respectively, and Love really wants to see them going at it for the Larry O’Brien trophy. During a recent interview with USA Today Sports, the power forward revealed he would love to see Bron and Kyrie clash in the Finals given all the talents they have, the supporting cast, and the coaching staff.

“It would definitely be interesting to see,” Love said. “But I’ll tell you what: Get your popcorn ready, because that would be one for the ages there.

“If everybody is healthy on both sides, that would be a really amazing Finals with some guys that are first-ballot Hall of Famers.”

“I think we’d all enjoy seeing that in a big way because it would just be beautiful basketball,” Love said.

This would be an incredible event and it would be even bigger if the arenas can have at least 60% of fans watching games. The Nets have created a superteam this season and the Lakers also have a Big 3 with LeBron, Anthony Davis and Andre Drummond. The path to the Finals will be incredibly hard for each of these teams but if they get past their rivals, we could have one of the most exciting Finals in recent years.

Just like Love, a lot of people expect these two squads to face each other in the biggest series of all. Time will tell if that’s going to happen or not. Right now the Nets are 2nd in the East while the Lakers rank 5th in the West.
