Branham has been among the most impressive youth basketball players in the nation, which explains why he was deemed worthy enough to become the first St. Vincent-St. Mary’s player since LeBron James to win the award.
Once it was announced and went viral online, LeBron James took it upon himself to share some enthusiasm and encouragement his way.
Proud of you kid!! Helluva a HS career and capped it off with a State title and Mr. Basketball!! Love to see it! KEEP GOING, don’t stop here @MalakiBranham! 🙏🏾✊🏾💪🏾👑 https://t.co/TMtc6wjGZI

LeBron is obviously Ohio’s biggest basketball star, and his legacy can’t be an easy one to follow.
No doubt, having his support will likely make life easier for Branham, who will have all eyes on him as he makes the transition into college basketball.
Of course,e if he’s got a guy like LeBron James backing him up, he is probably headed for great things.
