The Rajon Rondo experiment with the Atlanta Hawks clearly didn’t work, so they sent him to the Los Angeles Clippers in return for Lou Williams, who’ll give them an offensive spark off the bench:
“Hawks are trading Rajon Rondo to the Clippers for Lou Williams, source tells ESPN,” Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN said.

However, it seems like Lou Williams was pretty confident in the fact that he wasn’t going to be traded this season. In fact, he went as far as to say that the Clippers were his final stop and he would only leave for ‘LouWillVille’:

This must be a bit of a bittersweet feeling for Williams. On one hand, he’s not playing for a legit championship contender anymore and will have to move after years in Los Angeles. On the other hand, he’ll be pretty close to the Magic City gentleman’s club where he infamously ‘picked chicken wings’ during the bubble in Orlando:
“Lou’s agent:
“Hey bro, sorry but you’re getting trading off a championship contender to a team below .500… that’s the bad news.”
Lou:
“What the good news.”
Agent:
“You’re headed to ATL dude! All the lemon pepper wings at Magic City you can eat.”
Lou:
“Bet.” Forbes insider Tommy Beer jokingly tweeted.

All jokes aside, Williams will give the Hawks an offensive boost of the bench, while the Clippers finally landed the floor general they were craving for the entire season.
