Julius Randle has had a breakout season this year, becoming one of the best passing forwards in the game. Randle has maintained his elite scoring as well while improving his jumper to further diversify his skill set. Together, he and coach Tom Thibodeau are reviving New York Knicks basketball, and they are currently holding a 20-19 record, good for the 6th seed in the Eastern Conference.

There has been a recent statistic that highlighted Julius Randle’s burgeoning all-around game. According to StatMuse, Julius Randle is the first Knicks player to record multiple triple-doubles on the season in the last 30 years. That is a fairly long time, even for a storied franchise like the New York Knicks.

Julius Randle has developed himself into an All-Star caliber player, and he is showing why exactly he is so valuable. Russell Westbrook may have made triple-doubles commonplace, but getting one is no easy feat. Julius Randle is impacting every area of the floor, and he still has room to improve. Julius Randle could potentially become one of the best forwards in the league in the near future if he keeps up his trajectory.

Even if the New York Knicks don’t make the playoffs this season, they have been an inspiring team to watch with Julius Randle leading them. But if they do make it, then hopefully we see great performances by Julius Randle against the best teams in the Eastern Conference.
