Just looking at the list, Booker and Steph jump out as the early favorites. Not only have they each won the 3-point shooting title in the past, they’re also among the league’s most explosive scorers. If you’re betting on who will take home the prize this year, either of those two guys make a pretty safe bet.
The two Celtics, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, also stand a good chance to make some noise. They’re used to playing under pressure and have proven their long0distance shot-making ability plenty of times before.
The wild cards in this race will be Mitchell and LaVine. The two stars are the bonafide leaders for their team, and it’s easy to see how they might dominate the three-point contest as well.
While the All-Star weekend festivities are still a major controversy amongst fans, the league doesn’t appear to be rolling back any of their events, and they’re doing their best to make the best of the situation.
