D’Angelo Russell And Karl-Anthony Towns Have Only Played In Five Games Together Since They Teamed Up One Year Ago

1 Min Read

D’Angelo Russell And Karl-Anthony Towns were best friends long before their journey in the NBA began. Tracing all the way back to High School, they were able to chase their dream together, and, today, they are now teammates on the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Unfortunately, the pair hasn’t had very long to run together. In fact, since D’Lo’s arrival to the team over one year ago, he has only played in five games with his childhood buddy and co-star.

Obviously, Wolves fans had high hopes of success for this season. With a deep-rooted friendship, it makes sense that Russell and Towns would have amazing chemistry together both on and off the court. Add talented rookie Anthony Edwards to the mix, and it’s easy to see how one might get excited about that.

But it seems this season has been cursed for the Wolves, who can’t seem to catch a break. After KAT’s insane battle with COVID-19, it was announced that D’Lo would miss time to recover from knee surgery.

At this rate, we might not see Minnesota’s star duo in action, at the same time, until next season.
