Erik Spoelstra wasn’t so happy about the Miami Heat losing to the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night and the head coach made it clear. The Bucks absolutely dominated the Heat, getting a 144-97 win over a direct rival in the Eastern Conference.
It was a great game by Milwaukee but the Heat’s head coach wasn’t happy and he took a jab at his rivals, claiming he believed they were waiting to see the Heat again for 80 days. This, obviously, is a clear reference to the Heat eliminating the Bucks in the second round of the 2020 NBA playoffs with a gentleman sweep.
“It looked like they had been thinking about this game for 80 days,” Spo said after the game was finished.

Truth be told, it did look like that. The Bucks were a machine from the very beginning of the game. They won the first quarter 46-26 and that advantage only got bigger for the rest of the game. Spoelstra knows his words would have an effect on the Bucks given the history between both franchises.

Still, Milwaukee earned a huge W, adding another game to the list of blowouts we’ve seen in the NBA this season. The big games aren’t close yet and Milwaukee hopes to get revenge on the Heat once again.
