Deni Avdija has made it to the NBA, considered a steal by many fans, after being selected by the Washington Wizards. The Israeli player is ready to show all his talent in the league with a team ready to compete with John Wall and Bradley Beal. Avdija shouldn’t have any problems adapting to the NBA; he played against pros in Israel and the Euroleague, so he knows the level of competition he will face in the league.

Moreover, he won’t have problems with the language, as he learned by himself during his spare time. During his introduction to the press, Avdija revealed that he learned English while playing the worldly-famous video game ‘Call of Duty.’ If that wasn’t enough, he added that watching ‘iCarly’ and ‘Drake and Josh’ also helped him to learn the language.

Getting to know new Wizard Deni Avdija a little more… growing up in Israel he did learn English at school, and also from American video games and TV, including Nickelodeon classics "Drake & Josh" and "iCarly" @nbcwashington pic.twitter.com/GWupei5o1A

‘iCarly’ and ‘Drake and Josh’ were two of the most famous series on Nickelodeon during the 2000s and 2010s. When people saw the shows to have fun, Deni took things further and actually learned from what he was watching. This kid is expected to do big things according to the people that saw him play in Israel.

Obviously, comparisons are hateful, but NBA fans might be expecting a new version of Luka Doncic.
