Kendrick Perkins On Michael Jordan Scoring 70 Points Today: ‘That Is Absurd … To Disrespect This Generation Like That, It’s Just Disturbing To Me.’

Kendrick Perkins is not afraid of voicing his opinions, even if he has to talks about the GOAT himself Michael Jordan. Perk has had strong opinions about MJ in the past and that hasn’t changed in recent days. During Monday’s edition of ESPN’s ‘The Jump,’ the 2008 NBA champion reacted to Jordan’s former agent David Falk stating that His Airness would have averaged 60 points per game on 75% shooting if he was playing today.

Jordan is considered one of the greatest scorers of all time, but not everybody is sold on the idea that he would be putting those numbers if he plays in today’s league. He was asked if Falk was telling BS or real talk and his answer was very clear.

“That’s BS,” stated Perkins. “You know, the bad part about it was that he was dead serious. Look, David Falk might be sitting back sipping too much of that moonshine because to say that Michael Jordan would average 60 points on 75 percent shooting, that is absurd! I wouldn’t even do that when I be going to the LA fitness. I’ll be going getting buckets.

“But to say so, to disrespect this generation like that, it’s just disturbing to me. And he’s out of like. Like Jordan with an average 60 points and 75 percent shooting, that’s just crazy!”

Well, this is a question that nobody can respond yet everybody keeps making these kinds of comparisons every day. MJ himself said it was unfair to compare eras and players from different years but nobody seems to get the message. It is very difficult to predict how somebody would fare in today’s league or the NBA we saw in the 90s or 80s. This is a debate that will never be settled.
