Shannon Sharpe And Snoop Dogg Think Bradley Beal Will Play For The Lakers Next Season

The Los Angeles Lakers just won their 17th NBA title last Sunday but that hasn’t stopped fans and media members to start speculating about the future of the franchise and what moves they should make to defend their NBA championship. Anthony Davis is locked right now after he decided to opt out of his contract to re-sign with the team in the next couple of days.

This assures the Lakers to have their star for the foreseeable future but it seems like the fans want more from their team. They have been linked with several players over the last couple of months and one of the assets that could land in the Staples Centers is none other than Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards. Beal blossomed into a star this season, even though he was overlooked for most of the season.

Bradley is now one of the best scorers in the league and could be very helpful for the Lakers as their third scorer. Snoop Dogg and Shannon Sharpe recently discussed this possibility in FS1’s Undisputed, mentioning that Beal recently bought a new house in Los Angeles. They implied that Beal could be the new acquisition for the Lakers in their attempt to win back-to-back titles.

Snoop: “You know Bradley Beal just moved to L.A., huh?”

Sharpe: “If we get Bradley Beal is over for the next three years.”

Last season the Lakers struggled to find a third star behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Kyle Kuzma was expected to take that spot but he failed at it. During the playoffs, several players took that role, including Rajon Rondo, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Dwight Howard.

With Beal, that spot would be filled without any problem but the Lakers don’t seem to have the assets to unlock trade talks with the Wizards. Sorry Snoop, sorry Shannon; as great as it would be, your dreams of seeing Beal wearing the purple and gold are far away from becoming a reality.
