LeBron James wasn’t always the most beloved player for the Los Angeles Lakers fans. The comparisons between the King and Kobe Bryant led to the purple and gold fans to develop some bad blood towards the King. That was more visible when the King landed in LA as a free agent in 2018. James arrived with eight consecutive Finals appearances but the Lakers fans weren’t amused by that; their disdain with Bron was bigger than any stat and they let him know.
One Twitter user reminded the Lakers fans that they didn’t welcome LeBron when he first made it to California. @PeakLuka shared two pics of a couple of LeBron James murals destroyed by some Lakers fan when the player arrived in LA.
“Lakers fans don’t deserve LeBron,” the person said.

It’s fair to say that the hate towards LeBron James is and was huge. Unless he played for their team, many NBA fans were always rooting against LeBron and that sentiment didn’t change during his first days with the franchise. Some fans even accepted the fact that they didn’t like the LeBron’s signing with pride.

Lol these were put up after Bron’s fan base had made a career out of shitting on Kobe. “Lebron is the best player to ever wear purple and gold” even though he hadn’t played a single game yet. I support bron bc he is a Laker now, but I don’t support his childish fans.

Nothing wrong with these murals, He literally said today tht he’s learned that Lakers fans don’t care what you’ve accomplished on other teams, Until you’ve had success as a Laker, it doesn’t matter. He said he respects tht and now we respect him. PERIOD

Things change really fast in basketball but one of the fastest is the opinion that some fans have about certain players depending on whether or not he plays for their favorite team. With LeBron James, that’s not the different.
