Draymond Green is certainly not a very popular figure among rival fans and got heckled during Wednesday’s NBA Cup game between the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center. A fan appeared to call Green a “b*tch” in the fourth quarter and the Warriors star seemed to respond by saying he’d slap the individual.

Rockets fan: “Draymond! Draymond! Draymond! Draymond, why are you such a b*tch!”

Draymond Green: “I’ll slap the sh*t outta you!”

As for why the fan posed that question to Green at that time, it was because of what had happened moments earlier. When Rockets star Alperen Sengun drove to the basket, Draymond yanked him from behind to stop him from scoring.

Somehow this was called a common foul, even after review lmao

By Green’s standards, this was quite mild. We’ve seen him do so much worse over the years, which is quite a sad thing to say.

As for the game itself, the home fans ended up getting the last laugh over Green, as the Rockets beat the Warriors 91-90 to advance to the semifinals of the NBA Cup. There was a big controversy at the end of the contest over a loose ball foul called on Jonathan Kuminga and Green appeared to be enraged over that decision.

Green wasn’t the only one to be quite upset about the call. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr blasted the referees over it as well. While one can debate about that call, the fact of the matter is that the game shouldn’t have come down to that.

The Warriors led 90-84 with 3:03 left in the fourth quarter but failed to score a point the rest of the way. Their offense just stalled in the critical moments and it led to them dropping to 14-10 on the season.

Green, who finished with eight points (4-9 FG), three rebounds, four assists, two steals, and a block against the Rockets, has to take some of the blame for that. The four-time All-Star missed a shot and had a turnover in those final minutes and just wasn’t at his best in this one. He was a bit careless with the ball too, recording five turnovers.

Green would be aiming to have a bounceback game when the Warriors take on the Dallas Mavericks at Chase Center next, on Sunday at 8:30 PM ET. It’s another reunion with Klay Thompson for Green and the Warriors, who won the first meeting 120-117. Thompson would be hoping to even the score in this second clash.
