This NBA season has been full of changes. The picture looks very different from what it looked like a couple of seasons ago. One of the biggest differences now is the absence of the Golden State Warriors as one of the best teams in the Western Conference following a tumultuous offseason and a worse regular season that saw them without Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry due to injuries.

Curry only played in 5 games this campaign and that affected his team. They had the worst record in the league and didn’t get the invitation to the Orlando bubble, contrary to what happened to his brother, Seth, who is set to play in the postseason with the Dallas Mavericks.

“For most of my career, I’m usually the one who’s been home watching Steph late in the season,” Seth told the New York Times’ Marc Stein, via NBC Sports. “Now it’s the other way around and I’m still at work. I can tell it’s a little tough on him.”

Steph expressed his frustration for missing the bubble when the league invited 22 teams to go to Orlando and play out the remainder of the 2019/20 season.

“Obviously I was happy to see basketball back on TV, but that first week I had major FOMO (fear of missing out),” he told The New York Times’ Marc Stein. “Once you see Bron (LeBron James) and Kawhi (Leonard) and P.G. (Paul George) go at it, and you remember how much fun it is to play in those types of games and that kind of level, you miss it badly.”

Things have changed a lot in the Curry family. Now Seth will be competing alongside Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis and co. trying to shock one of the teams in the top 4. As things stand now, the Mavericks will face the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the postseason, which could be a very entertaining series.

As for Curry, he’s getting ready for next season, in which the Warriors will try to demonstrate they’re not done yet.
