LeBron James is easily one of the best players to ever pick up a basketball. Considering his resume, skillset, and talent-level, that much is undeniable. But when it comes specifically to putting the ball lin the hoop, people can’t seem to agree on where he falls among the best pure scorers of All-Time.
On Twitter, Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie (who has played against LeBron first-hand) talked about where he ranks among the greatest scorers in history. To him, “The King” does not fall within the top three.
Heard that comment about James as a scorer. Might be overall best offensive “playmaker”, maybe but he’s not top 3 scorer. KD, Bean, MJ.

Fans were quick to point out several flaws in his ranking.
Bro, he averages more points per game than all but Wilt, Jordan, and Elgin Baylor and has player WAAAAAY more games than KD. Bron is a better scorer than Kevin

LeBron James is certainly good at getting buckets. He has averaged 27 points on 50% shooting for his career so far, with a scoring title in 2008 to go along with it.
Compared to guys like KD, MJ, Kobe, and even James Harden, though, LeBron doesn’t have as much in his arsenal. James isn’t known for being a particularly great outside shooter and it kind of limits what he can do offensively. He doesn’t have the same dominance in the post like Hakeem or Kareem, either.
But James definitely belongs in the conversation. Where he falls, though, is all just a matter of perspective at this point.
