Metta World Peace: ‘Andrew Bynum Is One Of The Greatest Centers In Lakers History. No One Could Guard The Man.’

2 Min Read

Metta World Peace isn’t afraid of speaking his mind. Just like he acted on the court, he is now acting off the court. Metta can give you a hot take any given day and be cool with that. He’s recently been talking about the greatest players ever, discussing the careers and styles of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.

Moreover, Metta recently named Wilt Chamberlain as the greatest player of all time over Kobe, MJ and LeBron.

When talking about the Lakers, he named one of his former teammates as one of the best centers in franchise history. Back in March, the 2010 NBA champion praised Andrew Bynum, calling him one of the ‘top centers’ in Lakers history.

“Andrew Bynum is one of the top centers in @lakers history to me. No one could guard the man,” he wrote on Twitter.

Bynum was really helpful for the Lakers, he was one of the best centers in the league during his best years, but call him one of the best centers in franchise history is a little too much. This team that saw the likes of Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Shaquille O’Neal play for them and Bynum isn’t close to them.

Still, Metta sees his old teammates as one of the best centers in Lakers’ history and nobody can change that.
