Draymond Green On Fans Who Say He Struggles Without Stephen Curry: ‘Michael Jordan Struggled Without Scottie Pippen’

Draymond Green has had enough of fans claiming he struggles without Stephen Curry playing by his side. This year the Splash Brothers, Curry and Klay Thompson, couldn’t be with the Warriors. Curry played only five games in the season after breaking his left hand at the beginning of the campaign, while Klay remains sidelined since the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors.

This situation has taken a toll on the team, which had the worst record in the league before the suspension last month. The Warriors only put a group of young players plus Draymond Green, D’Angelo Russell and then Wiggins, who landed in the Bay for D’Lo.

NBA fans criticized Draymond a lot, pointing out that he can’t do anything without Steph, but Draymond is tired of those comments. Green has clapped back at the haters, boldly comparing himself with none other than Michael Jordan. During a recent interview with ‘UNINTERRUPTED’, the power forward gave a big response.

“Michael Jordan struggled without Scottie Pippen. You want to come at me?” he said.

It’s pretty clear that this team needs all his stars to succeed. Just like those Bulls need Pippen to put everything together, Curry, Thompson and Green need each other to make this team a competitive one. The trio led the Warriors to a record-breaking 73-9 during the 2015/16 season; that must tell you something about their importance on the roster.

Still, it’s pretty bold for Draymond to compare himself with Jordan, but we get the point.
