Look no further. Michael Jordan is the king of interviews. The Chicago Bulls legend is the man of the hour, for better or worse, after the first two episodes of his documentary ‘The Last Dance’ aired on Sunday night.
MJ is in everybody’s mouths now and that doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. For instance, footage of an old interview with legendary host David Letterman has resurfaced, showing that Jordan was as good or better at interviews as he was on the hardwoods. At some point, Letterman asked MJ if he was the tallest person in his family, and he took the chance to make a hilarious joke.
“I’m the tallest. My father’s about 5’10, my mother’s about 5’5, everyone else’s about 5’6.5, 5’7. The milkman’s about 6’7,” Jordan said while the crowd and the host cracked up.
This contrasts a lot with the person Jordan was in practice and in games. He was very cool in his interviews, as you can see here, but when it came to basketball, he was just ruthless. Still, it’s good to see the other side of MJ, that one which often gets unnoticed.
That said, this Sunday we’ll watch the 3rd and 4th episode of ‘The Last Dance’, which is expected to bring more controversy around the Chicago Bulls’ dynasty and His Airness.
