Jimmy Butler Seemingly Trying To Recruit Joel Embiid To Miami

It’s not a secret that Joel Embiid isn’t having the best time with the Philadelphia 76ers and rival teams are preparing for the possibility of the Sixers trading the big man at the end of the season.

Moreover, Jimmy Butler, Embiid’s former teammate, has taken things to the next level. In an Instagram exchange, Butler appears to be recruiting Embiid to his Miami Heat.

Embiid has stated several times this season that he wishes Butler stayed with the Sixers. Butler, meanwhile, has always hinted that some unknown things led him to leave Philly despite being very close to reach the ECF last season. Now it looks like Butler is trying to reunite with his former teammate at the AmericanAirlines Arena.

Butler joined the Heat this past summer in free agency after Philly and Miami agreed to a sign-and-trade deal. He went to South Beach, while the Sixers acquired Josh Richardson in return.

JoJo and his team were booed on Sunday against the Chicago Bulls despite winning the game anyway, with Embiid silencing the crowd after hitting a big 3 in the fourth quarter. The past few weeks haven’t been easy for the Sixers, who look nothing like the contender team everybody expected them to be before the start of the campaign.
