Steve Kerr: ‘Steph Has An Excellent Chance That He Comes Back In March. Klay, I Doubt He Will Play’

For as much excitement as we’ve seen this season, there’s a Golden State sized hole in the Western Conference standings this year.

Following a pair of devastating injuries, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson were ruled out for most of this campaign as they work to come back stronger and healthier for a run in the fall. In a chat with Yahoo! Sports, Warriors coach Steve Kerr gave an update on our favorite backcourt duo.

“Steph for sure… I think there’s an excellent chance he comes back in March… Klay I doubt will play.”

After tearing his ACL in the Finals, Klay’s timetable pretty much rules him out for the season. Steph suffered a hand fracture early in the season, and it seems he could make his return sometime in the spring.

In truth, there isn’t much reason for either to return soon anyway. With a 9-30 record (the worst in the West), it’s clear that the Dubs are going to miss out on the postseason for the first time in over 5 years.

Instead, you can expect the Splash Bros to get in shape for another run in the next few years to come. And if they come back as even 70% of what they were, the rest of the NBA has a whole lot to worry about.
