Colin Kaepernick’s disdain for the National Football League is no secret. Their mini off-field war has been filling the headlines the past two seasons.
So when rapper Travis Scott claims to have gotten approval from Kap before agreeing to perform during the events’ half-time show (on the basis that the league donates $500,000 donation to social justice organization Dream Corps in a report by the Variety), it was a story nobody was buying.
Kaepernick’s friend Ebro Darden, the famous HOT 97 radio host who works closely with Kap’s girlfriend, Nessa, tweeted this out to the public, that was then retweeted by Kap in an apparent confirmation that the conversation between him and Scott never actually took place.
Kap did not approve this bullshit! Get the fuck outta here…. https://t.co/yyMVAXQB3k

Nessa added “FACTS @EBRO!!! THEY NEED TO STOP LYING,” and that “If you are with them, then you are definitely not with us.”
There’s no compromise for team Colin. Until the NFL does something, Colin and his camp want nothing to do with it, and are pretty clear that anybody who associates with the league is an enemy.
No matter who you blame in the bigger picture, this recent situation has shown us that this NFL social conflict war is still very far from over.
