If you become an NBA superstar, you’re bound to deal with both fans and haters, and if you’re not much of an easy going guy and like to get in people’s faces, you’re likely to have more of the ladder.

Contents
  • 10. Rajon Rondo
  • 9. Stephen Curry
  • 8. Carmelo Anthony
  • 7. Tristan Thompson
  • 6. Zaza Pachulia
  • 5. Kawhi Leonard
  • 4. DeMarcus Cousins
  • 3. LeBron James
  • 2. Draymond Green
  • 1. Kevin Durant

Over the course of history, dirty or tough players like Ron Artest and Charles Oakley have earned a lot of detractors and handled a lot of heat because of his personality, and nowadays, there are still several ballers people kind of hate because of how they play.

Furthermore, taking some professional decisions may also hurt fans feelings and players can go from being loved to hated in the blink of an eye, and today, we’re going to let you know about the top 10 most hated players in the league right now.

10. Rajon Rondo

Rajon Rondo has always been quite controversial and he’s never hesitated to let everybody knows that he’s not going to be bossed around. Nonetheless, his best years are far behind him, so he may need to take his ego aside and embrace the fact that he’s not a top point guard anymore, something that’s not likely to happen any time soon.

9. Stephen Curry

Even though Stephen Curry is one of the most humble guys you’ll find in the league, he still draws a lot of heat from NBA fans that state that he’s overrated and is nothing more than a great three-point shooter. Still, he’s one of the most talented players this game has ever seen, so haters will have to just deal with it.

8. Carmelo Anthony

Carmelo Anthony has always drawn a lot of heat because of his constant ball hogging. Carmelo’s ego makes him one of the most difficult teammates to deal with because of his constant desire to just shoot the ball and not even tries to find the open guy, and his lack of playoff success also puts a huge question mark over his legacy.

7. Tristan Thompson

Before his recent affairs, Tristan Thompson was already getting a lot of hate from NBA fans because he’s by far one of the most overpaid players in the world. This guy is getting paid big time because of his so-called ability to dominate the offensive glass, but his defensive awareness is pretty much nonexistent, not to mention his lack of offensive skills.

6. Zaza Pachulia

Gladly, we didn’t get to watch much of Zaza Pachulia this season, as JaVale McGee outplayed him for the starting center spot with the Golden State Warriors. Pachulia has always been a dirty player whose lone talent is hurting his rivals, and the Spurs fans really hate him because of Kawhi Leonard’ injury.

5. Kawhi Leonard

A few months ago, Kawhi Leonard was one of the most respected and beloved players in the NBA, until he completely turned his back onto his teammates, organization and most importantly, Gregg Popovich. His desire to sit out and be traded to the Lakers is just embarrassing, and fans really disliked that lack of loyalty and respect.

4. DeMarcus Cousins

Cousins Warriors

If DeMarcus Cousins had a lot of detractors before, now that he’s taken the easy way out and joined the Golden State Warriors, things are going to be even worse for him. Furthermore, he even stated that he knew how people would take that move, but that he didn’t give a damn. Also, his hard-nosed temper makes him a tough guy to deal with.

3. LeBron James

Regardless of how great he may be and all of the charity work he puts on, people still hate on LeBron James. The Jordan-Kobe comparisons have always triggered NBA Fans and his 3-6 record in the Finals has also done his part. Also, the fact that he’s not been able to single-handedly lead a team to the Championship is something his hates can always bring up.

2. Draymond Green

Draymond Green is a dirty player. He just is. But, when he’s not trying to kick anybody in the nuts, he’s also a suffocating defender that will always try to get into your nerves. Draymond is a walking technical foul, a guy that loves mocking his rivals, and that will try to hurt you if he can, so obviously, he gets a lot of hate from his peers and fans.

1. Kevin Durant

And obviously, the most hated player in the world has to be Kevin Durant, who completely betrayed the Oklahoma City Thunder after joining the team that beat them. Durant earned a snake reputation he’s never going to be able to shake off, and his comments on social media and use of burner accounts to defend himself are laughable, to say the least.
