The Cleveland Cavaliers are facing a major offseason right now, following a loss in the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors for the 2nd consecutive year and for the 3rd time in the past 4 seasons.
Moreover, the fact that LeBron James has been linked with a move out of the team ever since the start of the season has to be a major concern for the franchise, especially considering their relationship has never been really good.
James is almost a lock to leave the team after he already gave them the ring he promised ages ago, with him trying to take improve that terrible 3-6 record in the Finals to write his name back in the GOAT conversation.

3. Trade For Kemba Walker
The Charlotte Hornets were quietly trying to trade Kemba Walker prior to this year’s trade deadline and during the Draft night, but apparently, their asking price was really high considering the All-Star point guard is set to become a free agent.
Nonetheless, the Cavs could use a major upgrade in the PG spot and Walker would definitely be a step in the right direction, and as of this day, it seems like they could get him in return for Collin Sexton, Jordan Clarkson, a and a future 2nd round pick.
2. Trade Bad Contracts
Tristan Thompson and JR Smith were horrible in both ends of the hardwood all season long except for some stretches, while Kyle Korver and George Hill aren’t getting any younger and would be better off elsewhere.
So, the Cavs need to find a way to move those players even if that means having to part ways with some picks to get other teams to take their bad contracts, so they have the kind of cap space needed to sign a superstar like Paul George or DeMarcus Cousins.

1. Trade For Kawhi Leonard
According to several reports, the San Antonio Spurs were actively considering all trade offers for Kawhi Leonard during the Draft night, but no team risked enough or had enough assets to make a run for the best two-way player in the league.
The Cleveland Cavaliers could put together a nice trade package with Kawhi’s stock falling on a daily basis because everybody knows he wants out of the team. In order to get him, and obviously convince LeBron to stay, they could trade him for Kevin Love, Collin Sexton, Ante Zizic and Cedi Osman. Naturally, this would be a huge gamble considering Kawhi wants to be in LA, but they could convince him to extend his stay if they win a Championship.
