After their historic moment of sharing the court together as teammates, LeBron James and his son Bronny face a different opponent. TMZ Sports is reporting that LeBron and Bronny are being sued for their involvement in an alleged car accident that took place in Littlerock, California in November of 2022.

The plaintiffs – Almana Lopez and Kiara Rae McGillan, claim that the father-son duo crashed into them on a highway, which caused them to sustain significant injuries that require serious medical treatment. Furthermore, they also claim that their car underwent major damage that lowered its value in the market.

The suit is asking for an unspecified amount in damages. TMZ reached out to the suing parties for further comment but did not receive any response at the time of writing. There has been no public comment made by either LeBron or Bronny or their legal representation.

There were no reports of this car accident at the time when this incident was alleged to have taken place. This would suggest that no police report was filed, and this could serve as a detriment to the plaintiffs, as they would have to provide some form of evidence to suggest this accident took place.

Should a judge rule in their favor, the James family will be liable to compensate them for whatever amount the plaintiffs are seeking in damages. The far more likely outcome, should there be any truth or merit to these claims, will be an out-of-court financial settlement that all parties can agree to.

Of course, it is also possible that the plaintiff’s request for damages is denied in the court of law, which means the James family would have no obligation to entertain any requests for compensation.

Given that this is an ongoing legal matter, the general public will have to see how the situation will unfold.

LeBron And Bronny James Made History

This ongoing legal matter will not take away from the incredible moment LeBron and Bronny James shared together, as the pair became the first father-son duo to play together as teammates in the NBA. Seeing LeBron share the court with his son was a sight to behold, and was a glaring reminder of LeBron’s incredible longevity.

Father and son were greeted by Ken Griffey Jr. and Ken Griffey Sr. before the game, who were the first father-son duo to play together as teammates in the MLB. The four men even took a picture together.

It was a decent night for James, who put up 16 points, five rebounds, four assists, and two blocks while going 7-16 from the field, and 1-4 from the three-point line. As for Bronny James, he played just three minutes, where he delivered 0 points, one rebound, 0 assists, 0 blocks, and 0 steals while shooting 0-2 from the field and 0-1 from three.

After the game, both LeBron and Bronny spoke about the history-making experience of playing together, and what emotions were running through their heads as it was happening.

Bronny James will now get the chance to develop his game with the Lakers’ G-League unit, while LeBron will focus on the Lakers‘ championship hopes for the rest of the season. Perhaps we will see the pair play together later in the season.
