Patrick Beverley opened up on former Playoff rival Doncic on the ‘Pat Bev Pod,’ saying the Slovenian will break many NBA records.
“He’s 6’7″-6’8″, so you can’t put the classic point guard on him because he’s too small. Can’t keep the classic two-guard on him because he’s too small. Can’t put the three on him because then you have to switch the 3-5 pick-and-roll, now he’s just attacking your five.”

His career average after six seasons is 28.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 8.3 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.5 blocks, with his points per game mark ranking amongst the top five in NBA history.

Luka Doncic Is The Only Active Player Who Can Challenge LeBron James’ All-Time Scoring Record
Doncic’s incredible production through the first six seasons of his career has led to many claiming Luka is one of few players in the NBA right now who can even think about trying to go after LeBron James’ all-time scoring record, which crossed the 40,000-mark last season.
Kevin Garnett propped Doncic up as the only player who could catch LeBron, despite his off-court habits.

I am just saying without basketball skills, it’s very hard to hold that body. If you’re saying me there’s no way because I’m not playing that much. It’s amazing to watch him. It’s his 20th season and he’s scoring 30-40 points every night.”
LeBron will tie Vince Carter’s record for the most consecutive seasons played in NBA history with 22 last season while still expecting to be a featured option on a contending squad. Doncic is phenomenal, but the longevity required to challenge LeBron’s records is a much harder task than having the talent to keep pace with him through the first 10 years of a career.
