Scottie Pippen shared a picture on social media with Floyd Mayweather, considered by many to be one of the greatest boxers of all time. In the caption of the picture, he posted 6-0 and 50-0, which are their respective undefeated records. Pippen was part of the Chicago Bulls that went 6-0 in the NBA Finals, and Mayweather has famously never been defeated in his boxing career.

This isn’t the first all-time great boxer Scottie Pippen has posted a picture with in recent weeks. During the Olympics, Pippen shared a picture of himself with Team USA at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, where they all took a picture with legendary boxer Muhammad Ali.

Pippen has been more active on social media in recent weeks, while also getting more involved in the basketball space. Recently, he gave advice to young basketball players, while also warning them to not make some mistakes that he made during his career.

Scottie Pippen had a legendary career in the NBA, playing mostly for the Bulls, and finding incredible championship success during his time in the league. Many consider Pippen to be an integral part of the Bulls, as it was after his arrival that Michael Jordan and the Bulls were able to start winning an NBA championship.

Pippen won 6 NBA championships, made 7 All-Star games, 7 All-NBA teams, and 10 All-Defensive teams during his career. Many consider his duo with Michael Jordan to be the greatest in NBA history, as they were able to complete two three-peats together, something no other duo in the league has been able to do.

Scottie Pippen’s Sons Carrying Forward His Legacy

Currently, Scottie Pippen’s son Scotty Pippen Jr. is in the NBA, having signed a two-way contract with the Memphis Grizzlies. Pippen Jr. impressed a lot of people at the NBA Summer League with the Grizzlies, and a few expect him to do really well when given the chance to play for them this upcoming season.

His younger son, Justin Pippen, is currently playing for the University of Michigan and is likely to make his way to the NBA soon after. Justin recently roasted his brother’s game, likely as a fun dig at his older brother.

Pippen will be so proud of his sons for carrying his legacy forward in the league. Regardless of the success his sons find in the NBA, the fact that they have (or in Justin’s case, might) reach the best basketball league in the world on their merit is an incredible accomplishment.

Perhaps both his sons can find even more success in the NBA. As things stand, they are still very young and have a lot of time to develop into better players. While they might not reach the level of Pippen in their careers, being able to have a long career in the NBA is a success in its own right., and they should work hard towards that.
