Jimmy Butler made his first appearance on Hustler Casino Live earlier this year and to say he didn’t make a great impression on co-owner Nick Vertucci would be an understatement. On Monday’s livestream, Vertucci was asked if Dan Bilzerian was the biggest a**hole he had met in his life and he claimed it was actually Butler.
“Not Bilzerian, Jimmy Butler,” Vertucci said. “I don’t like him.”
Vertucci added that Butler was rude to everybody when he took part in the “Legends Of The Felt” tournament on June 22. He made it clear he does not want the Miami Heat star to come back on his show and explained what happened during that first appearance.
“First of all, he got here and waited an hour and a half for Neymar to get here, and he was pissed and wouldn’t play unless he was here,” Vertucci stated. “So, he was just sitting in the seat and not playing, which is okay… We had to move his seat because he wanted to sit by Neymar or closer to people he knew. That’s okay, too, a little prima donna stuff, famous people, we’re good.”
Vertucci claims that Butler then got confused by players straddling and playing the stand-up game. The 34-year-old wanted to play a standard game and got upset about what was going on. Vertucci added Butler started making a scene, which led to him going over to speak to him.
“I say, ‘Hey Jimmy, listen, is there anything I can do for you?’ He goes, ‘Yeah, first thing is get your hand off my f***ing arm.’ And I didn’t move it,” Vertucci added. “And I said ‘Hold on, we’ve met, you may have forgotten, no big deal, but I own part of the show, I just want to help you.’ He goes, ‘You want to help me? Go get my money.'”
Vertucci claims he told Butler to get his money himself and walked away. Upon hearing all this, Bruce Buffer stated Butler wasn’t a “real poker player.” Vertucci wasn’t done ripping Butler, though.
“I don’t care how many viewers he brings, I don’t want him back,” Vertucci said. “He was rude to the dealers, he was rude to other players, he was rude to the staff.”

Vertucci then also attempted to expose Butler for trying to portray himself as this generous individual. A video had gone viral on social media after the event, in which Butler was seen handing out money to fans from his winnings.

Butler cashed in twice on pots worth $120,000 and $80,000 and got a lot of love from social media for this act of generosity. Vertucci claimed, though, that the six-time All-Star was just handing out money to his own entourage, who’d give it back to him later. He also revealed that Butler wasn’t very kind toward a young fan at the event and only begrudgingly accepted to meet him.
All of these acts led Vertucci to state that Butler was not welcome back on his show. If all of this is true, then it’s not a good look for the NBA star at all. It will be interesting to see if Butler responds to these allegations.
