LeBron James‘ has taken the mantle of leader for Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics. His leadership has been on full display, with players looking to James as a guiding figure. As LeBron was leading a team huddle on the court in Las Vegas, longtime rival Stephen Curry sprinted across the court to make sure he got into the huddle.

James is one of the few personalities in the NBA who could serve as a leader to the best players in the world given his accolades and longevity. Even veterans like Curry and Kevin Durant entered the NBA after James was already making All-NBA Teams, so everybody would defer to James in this setting.

Seeing how excited Curry was to jump into the huddle goes to show that LeBron has been giving all the players the wisdom and guidance they may need to complete the mission of winning yet another Gold medal at the Olympics.

James has finally reached such a status in basketball that his influence can bring together the top American players in the NBA to represent their country. After losses at recent world events where the best players sat out like the 2023 FIBA World Cup, LeBron reached out to Curry and Durant to declare together for the Olympics.

This led to all top players making themselves available to follow the three modern-day NBA legends. Now, Team USA will be hoping that their ‘Avengers‘ can restore American superiority over world basketball.

LeBron James And Stephen Curry Had Fun After Team USA’s Win Over Canada

The social media barrage of LeBron and Curry together has made NBA fans quite happy. The fierce rivals who competed against each other in four straight NBA Finals are the veterans of Team USA and are enjoying each other’s company on Team USA.

James and Curry gave their post-game interview after Team USA’s 86-72 win over Canada together, with James openly discussing how it felt like to play alongside Curry.

“Just two guys who love to play the game of basketball and we try to share it with each other. I missed him in the first half on a wide-open three that I threw out of bounds, but he was able to connect with me for the lob. It’s fun. We play the game at a high level but more importantly, we play the game that we love the right way, and that’s the result of it.”

Curry was smiling and quite literally jumping for joy when LeBron was talking about their connection on the court. The pair clearly have chemistry, but Curry has rebuffed attempts by James to recruit him in the past. With Steph casting doubt over his future as a Golden State Warrior, plenty of Laker fans will get excited at seeing James and Curry bond over Team USA.

Curry scored 11 points on three made 3-pointers during USA’s win over Canada while LeBron had a complete performance with seven points, five rebounds, three assists, three steals, and one block.
