LeBron James is one of the most meticulous athletes the NBA has ever seen. He has enjoyed one of the longest primes in NBA history because he takes care of the smallest thing, which has been made evident in a recent clip. LeBron jumped around the new Lakers In-Season Tournament court to make sure the new design was integrated well, checking out the way the court was squeaking.

Fans found this hilarious and quickly made the video go viral.

Noted analyst Kevin O’Connor was shocked he actually watched the entire video.

Fans were joking about how this clip makes him the greatest of all time.

Fans used this to confirm his availability for the game tonight after LeBron sat out the Lakers last game due to calf soreness.

Other fans were confused about what James was doing.

Naturally, fans also had some ‘Le’ jokes to make.

More fans had that same idea.

Many unbiased fans commended LeBron for his preparation and focus.

We have already seen issues with many of the in-season tournament courts. The Nuggets had to have their court repainted due to the three-point line being inaccurate. The Mavericks didn’t even use their court in their in-season tournament game against the Clippers last weekend due to manufacturing issues.

These courts haven’t been received well, with many finding the color schemes ugly and distracting. Given the large swathes of purple on this court, it’ll be hard to ignore it during the game. Hopefully, it doesn’t take away from the on-court action. Some games have been hard to watch because of the courts, so let’s hope that’s not the case for the Lakers.

Lakers Are Hoping To Advance In The In-Season Tournament

Much has been made about the new In-Season Tournament and whether players and teams even care about the competition. It’s been made clear by veteran teams in the NBA like the Warriors that this is a trophy worth chasing. The same will apply to the Lakers and LeBron. If there’s something to win, there is a strong incentive to go out and chase it.

The Lakers have been seeded into a relatively easy group with the Utah Jazz, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, and Memphis Grizzlies. They already have a win in the tournament and are well-placed to add a few more, playing the depleted Grizzlies tonight.

If a big win can be earned with a healthy James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers will be a step closer to advancing to the quarter-finals, either as a group leader or possibly a wildcard team.

The Lakers Looking To Add Reinforcements

The Lakers have been linked with Chicago Bulls’ swingman Zach LaVine today, as the Bulls are moving closer to offloading their star of the last six seasons. Their team is looking like it’ll be broken up soon enough, which gives the Lakers a very strong prospect for the third star they’ve been searching for.

LaVine has had a slow start to the season on the Bulls, averaging 21.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.0 assists. This does look to be a motivation issue as well, with LaVine looking disengaged on the court. A move away from the Bulls after the years he’s spent could be ideal for his career.

The Lakers will be taking a big risk, with LaVine not having a lot of playoff experience under his belt. But the Lakers need a scorer of his caliber to not only help them in the regular season but be a primary option in the playoffs instead of the team grinding down LeBron or Davis as the season goes on.
