October 31st is widely recognized as Halloween in North America, although not everybody participates in the festivities. For Lakers star LeBron James, he’s always gone above and beyond for the occasion and this year was no exception. In a post on Instagram, the 4x MVP revealed the scene at his annual Halloween party in LA, which included his teammates dressed up in creative costumes.

All around the NBA, stars were showing off their amazing costumes. In San Antonio, Victor Wembanyama was spotted sporting an impressive-looking Slenderman outfit before the game. Paul George was trolled for his “Wheres Waldo” costume. LeBron James showed up to his party as the infamous Beetlejuice, which is a character from the hit comedy horror movie in 1988. Other costumes include Shrek, Rui Hachimura as Fred Flinstone, and LeBron’s wife, Savannah, who wore a Miss Argentina costume.

LeBron has always dressed up for Halloween and he has long used the holiday as a reason to build up his relationship with his teammates. This year, it played the same role even with LeBron in his 21st season.

LeBron James Is Fighting Time

LeBron’s Halloween celebration this week was great, but the work is just beginning for him to turn this Lakers team into a top-tier contender After 20 seasons in the league, LeBron isn’t the player he used to be but his amazing longevity has ensured that he’s still among the best players in the game at almost 40-years-old. Last season, the 4x MVP delivered one of his best stretches yet as a Laker with a statline of 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game on 50% shooting.

Sadly, LeBron also missed the most games of his career last season and there’s no telling which way that will trend for the 2023-24 campaign. Over the past two years combined, LeBron has only played in 111 regular season games but the Lakers will need more from him if they want to make a run this go-round. So far, LeBron doesn’t appear to have lost a step on the court but he’ll need to stay on the floor for his team to have any kind of success going forward.

Can The Lakers Win The Title?

Despite heavy pressure to make a move, Lakers GM Rob Pelinka decided to keep the team intact this summer instead of giving up their depth to chase another star. Even with guys like Kyrie Irving, Damian Lillard, and others on the table, Los Angeles chose continuity over everything and their gamble is paying off in the first four games.

The biggest difference for this team, however, is the culture in the locker room. After Russell Westbrook’s departure last season, the Lakers were able to kill all the toxicity and LeBron is making it a point to get all of his teammates on the same page. This week’s Halloween bash was just one team-building event on the calendar, but there’s no doubt that LeBron will have more stuff planned throughout the season. Hopefully, these events help push the Lakers in the right direction so that LeBron can finish off his career in a way that he deserves.
