James Harden’s return to the Philadelphia 76ers has raised speculation about his playing status for their upcoming season opener against the Milwaukee Bucks. The former MVP had been away from the team due to personal reasons and missed all preseason games. While there were initial reports suggesting he might travel with the team to Milwaukee, it’s now clear that Harden will remain in Philadelphia to continue preparations for the regular season after limited recent action.

James Harden hasn’t practiced with Sixers since October 15 and plan is allowing him to stay at Camden practice facility and work with team development staff to get the live action necessary to get him playing games once Sixers return from Milwaukee-Toronto trip, sources said.

Harden’s absence from the 76ers has fueled ongoing questions about his future with the team. The star guard had publicly demanded a trade during the offseason, but the 76ers didn’t find a suitable deal with his preferred destination, the LA Clippers. As the trade talks continue, it remains unclear when or if Harden will return to the court for Philadelphia.

This situation adds an element of uncertainty to the 76ers’ season opener and their performance moving forward. Whether or not James Harden plays, his presence and contribution will be closely watched as the 76ers aim to contend in the Eastern Conference. The drama surrounding Harden’s return underscores the evolving dynamics in professional basketball, as teams grapple with star players demanding trades and the challenges this poses for both player and franchise.

James Harden Left Practice To Aid His Sick Mother

James Harden’s absence from the Philadelphia 76ers took an unexpected turn as reports surfaced that he left the team to attend to his ailing mother. According to Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, Harden is currently dealing with personal matters, which have taken precedence over his professional commitments. While Harden is renowned for his love of competition and has been in excellent physical shape, he now faces a challenging situation. Despite his commitment to the game and his fitness, the star guard reportedly feels a sense of betrayal from the 76ers, which has left his future with the team uncertain.

James Harden Update:

Harden’s return is uncertain because he’s tending to his mom who is ill, I’m told.

The mindset of the 76ers PG is that the health of his mother comes first.

This development adds another layer of complexity to the ongoing Harden saga. Earlier reports from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski suggested that the 76ers and the LA Clippers, Harden’s preferred destination, were far from reaching a trade agreement, with significant differences between the two teams.

The turbulent offseason began with Harden’s attempts to secure a trade before the regular season, given his contract situation. After initially opting into the final year of his deal, it became apparent that a trade was not imminent. Subsequently, Harden expressed his frustration, even publicly referring to 76ers team president Daryl Morey as a “liar.”

James Harden’s journey has been marked by multiple franchise moves and high expectations, but his future in the league remains uncertain as the new season unfolds.
