Forward LeBron James is entering his 21st season in the league, and there’s no doubt that he has had a long career in the league. Even though he is in the twilight of his career playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, he is still playing at a high level, and it definitely seems as though James has a few more quality years left.

It seems as though James’ wife Savannah James believes that as well, as she recently sent an inspirational message to her husband, encouraging him to play with both of his sons in the NBA.

“Tell them you’re not done until you play with your son [Bronny]. Then do that, again [with Bryce].”

It would be interesting to see if the eldest, James, does manage to play with his sons Bronny and Bryce in the league. Though it is unlikely that he will continue to play at a superstar level when his younger son Bryce enters the league, it is quite possible that he will still be a quality role player or even an All-Star-level player at that point in time.

This past season, LeBron James averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game. He made the All-NBA Third team at the conclusion of the 2022-23 season, and it’ll be interesting to see whether he can replicate similar production during the 2023-24 season.

LeBron James Has Been Hard At Work Preparing For This Upcoming Season

LeBron James’ longevity has been absolutely insane throughout his time in the NBA, and his consistency throughout his last few years is the reason many believe he can last long enough to play with both of his sons in the league. In fact, Rob Pelinka previously revealed the intense preparation that James underwent in preparation for the 2023-24 season.

“It’s staggering for a player who has 20 years under the hood already and is preparing for 21 like he’s a rookie,” Pelinka said per Dave McMenamin of ESPN. “He’s been doing 6 a.m. workouts. Probably been in our building as much as any player this offseason. Been in the weight room as much as any player. Any team LeBron’s played for, it’s been pretty uniform that his work sets the tone. There has been nothing but an increase in seeing that here. To me, it’s let’s be about it, let’s not talk about it. He’s definitely been about it this offseason.”

It remains to be seen how James will do during this upcoming season. He is still good enough to be a dominant force next to Anthony Davis, and perhaps all the veteran superstar needs to do to win a championship is stay healthy throughout the course of next season.

The Los Angeles Lakers Can Be A Special Team Next Season

The Lakers have the talent to be a special team next season, especially with LeBron James being one of the leaders of the franchise. They made the Western Conference Finals in the 2023 playoffs, and perhaps an offseason of developing chemistry can help them become a true championship-level team.

It will be interesting to see who ends up being the No. 1 option for the Lakers next season. Though James will be many people’s answer, there are also a lot of people who think Davis is a better player currently.

Ultimately, there will be a lot of pressure on James to win next season, no matter the role that he’s in. Hopefully, the Lakers can find success and help the superstar win his fifth championship.
