We all know that Kawhi Leonard has a sense of humor, and that was on display when he responded to a question that asked him what people can expect from him and the Clippers. Leonard joked that he was in his “grocery/corner store bag” and added that he would give everyone what they want this season.

What everyone wants from Kawhi Leonard this season is for him to stay healthy, so the Clippers can finally make a run at the NBA championship. The team has been considered contenders every season since 2019 due to the amount of talent on their roster, but have failed to make it past the Western Conference Finals. The team absolutely needs Kawhi Leonard to remain healthy for a whole postseason, and we’ll see if Kawhi Leonard can deliver.

This past season with the Los Angeles Clippers, Kawhi Leonard had a solid year. He averaged 23.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game while shooting 51.2% from the field and 41.6% from 3PT range. Hopefully, he can show that he can stay healthy next season, and a lot of Clippers fans are excited to see him play at a high level.

Kawhi Leonard Is Expected To Be 100% At Training Camp

Kawhi Leonard’s durability has been put into question previously, but he will be healthy to start this season. It was previously revealed that Kawhi Leonard is expected to be at 100% before training camp, and perhaps his being available for the start of the season means the Clippers can hit the ground running.

“We expect him to be ready by training camp,” Lue said about Leonard. “He will be 100 percent by the time training camp hits and we just gotta be ready for when training camp hits with our medical staff, we just make sure we are doing the right things as far as practices and games and making sure the minutes are right.”

Though Leonard being at 100% is good news, the goal still remains for both him and Paul George to stay healthy for the duration of an entire season. This iteration of the Clippers will be judged on whether they can win a championship or not, and that won’t happen unless they are able to withstand the regular season and a rigorous playoff run.

Kawhi Leonard Is The Clippers’ Best Chance Of Winning A Championship

In his career, Kawhi Leonard has already proven that he is a winner. He won the Finals MVP award after the 2014 and the 2019 Finals and his run with the Toronto Raptors showed that he can be a clear-cut No. 1 option on a championship team. Though injuries have held him back, there is still hope that Leonard can put together an MVP-level season.

We will see whether Kawhi Leonard ends up leading the Los Angeles Clippers to a championship in the future. He is certainly the team’s best chance of winning at the highest level, and as long as he stays healthy, the Clippers can be an elite team.
