• His ADS Powersport store was awarded ‘Best Store in Northern Utah’

• The store is based out of Ogden, Utah

Karl Malone is enjoying his time as a retired athlete, continuing to live in Utah, and living a simple life as a business owner. Despite the millions he accumulated as an athlete, Malone spends his time running a power sports store in Ogden, Utah known as ‘ADS Powersport’.

The store was awarded second place in the Best ATV Retailers list of Standard-Examiner, something that Karl Malone’s wife, Kay Kinsey, shared on her Instagram story.

Second place as best ATV retailer may seem like nothing in front of a former NBA MVP, but the joy with which Karl’s wife shared the news made it seem like they take pride in such accomplishments. No achievement is beneath anyone, and it takes hard work to get even the smallest rewards.

Karl Malone Business Portfolio And Net Worth

Malone hasn’t been much of a public figure since retirement. While most of it’s by choice, there is also a lot of fan vitriol towards him due to his reprehensible past actions. Despite that, Malone had an extremely successful NBA career and is a thriving business owner in Utah.

Outside of selling power sports equipment, Malone also has a business called ‘5.11’ where he sells tactical gear, preferably used by hikers and campers. The clothing store has been relatively successful, and Malone has two locations, one in Ruston and another in Louisiana.

The list of Malone’s post-retirement business ventures is quite extensive. He owns an Arby’s and a Teriyaki Grill Franchise in Ruston. Along with that, Malone also owns three Jiffy Lube franchises in Utah, two Burger King franchises (part owner), one in Utah and one in Idaho.

Vehicles seem to be a deep passion of Malone. In addition to ADS Powersport, Malone owns a body shop in Utah. He also runs the ‘Karl Malone Used Car Outlet’ in Sandy, which includes 22 acres. On the same site, he also has an accessories store called M&M Automotive. He has some brand-specific stores, too, such as the Karl Malone Toyota in Draper.

Malone also has heaps of real estate investment, such as two condos at Green Valley Resort in St. George. If that isn’t enough, he also owns a few thousand acres of Louisiana timberland property. He also owns a commercial development business, and they are building a 37-acre outdoor mall in Ruston. He also built a 12,000-square-foot retail building on the property.

There isn’t an exact valuation of Malone’s investments, given they are a bunch of small businesses that could easily be funded by the $104 million he made over the course of 19 years in the NBA. Some estimates say his current net worth would be upwards of $50 million.
